This stunning coffee hails from the West Guji region of Ethiopia, specifically the Benti Nenka Washing Station in the village of Hambella Wamena. It's a testament to Ethiopia's unique terroir, offering irreplaceable flavors distinct from other origins.
These heirloom varieties, some potentially wild from the nearby Harenna forest, are cultivated with care by local families. The meticulous processing method starts with hand-picking the ripest cherries. After sorting, they're pulped to remove the skin and fruit. A 48-hour fermentation period unlocks complex flavors, followed by washing and density grading to ensure only the highest quality beans remain. Finally, cherries were sun-dried on raised beds for 10 days.
Thanks to the processing method and variety, this coffee brings out natural sweetness and floral notes, reminiscent of jasmine. Expect vibrant flavors of blueberry and clementine, creating a bright, juicy cup with a captivating complexity. It's a truly sweet and satisfying experience.
