Ethiopia Chelbesa Jasmine

Jasmine, Lavender, Sugarcane, Clementine
Chelbesa washing station is located at 2100 masl, managed by Girum Assefa. Chelbesa is the largest growing area in Gedeb, with a total area of 1240 hectares of coffee farms. This specific station buys cherries from approximately 615 farmers all located in the area. The farmers allow the cherry to ripen well before they harvest, they know that this allows for more sweetness. Their farms sit between 1925 and 2110 masl. The cooler temperatures of the high altitudes allow the cherries to grow slowly. This allows them to mature slower, resulting in denser coffee cherries and develop complex flavors.

Processed natural, the farmers soaked the cherries to remove all immature, floaters, overripe and foreign matter and then dried on raised beds for about 28 days. In addition, the varieties: Wolisho and Kurume are widely known for displaying the floral profile. The combination of the post harvest process and the varieties makes this coffee has a bursting flavor of floral and fruity flavors.

This is a vibrant natural Ethiopian coffee that we love. CLEMENTINE fruitiness paired with high quality of floral notes like JASMINE and LAVENDER and finish with SUGARCANE sweetness.
