There is so much great coffee in Colombia. Most coffee producers in Colombia are small farmers. They manage their farms and process their own coffee. Their coffees are usually processed at small micro mills on the farm. La Virgen and La Fruta Madura are the result of the projects to give smaller producers in Colombia access to the specialty coffee market.

Some say Colombian coffee can be a bit boring, with little nuance in the aftertaste, but there's a lot going on right now, and we think these coffees are proof of that. We present you La Fruta Madura, an extended fermentation washed coffee from Colombia. Fruta Madura means ripe fruit, its name refers to the cherries that are left for an extended fermentation before they are pulped, washed, and dried. Fermentation in this coffee brings out a great taste. The mouthfeel is smooth and rich, which makes this coffee a great treat for your slow-morning.

Another coffee you will get in this package is La Virgen. La Virgen is a farm owned by Jaime Ariza and located at 1850 - 2100 masl in Antioquia. Generally, natural coffees have a thicker body and noted for their pronounced fruit-forward profile. This coffee is a fantastic example of great natural, multi-layered fruit flavor notes and well-balanced cup.
